There will be movies on board and there will be a tour guide available to give us information while we travel about the areas we will be seeing that weekend. Once we arrive in San Felipe, we will have a tour guide there to greet us and will assist us throughout the weekend.
Meals: Most of your meals are also provided as part of the Tour. Sunday night you will be able to eat anywhere in San Felipe you desire. You can have street tacos for $1.25 each or a full gourmet dinner from $6.00 to $15.00.
Touring The Town
In addition to looking at investment properties, there will be time for you to explore town, shop, take a chance at the Casino or just stroll along the beach. San Felipe is a small fishing village with a population of about 20,000 people. There are people from all over North America that reside here. Although Spanish is the national language, most people who are working in town speak English very well. You do not need to buy Pesos to shop. Everyone takes dollars. However it is best for you to bring a variety of paper money, 1's, 5's 10's and 20's. It is not easy for vendors to break a $100.00 bill. You may get change back to you in Pesos, not dollars. There is a bank in town if you need to go to an ATM. If you use the ATM, you will get your money in Pesos.
FOOD ON THE MOTOR COACH: On Saturday we will have lunch for you on the motor coach. We also have snacks and beverages on the motor coach. If you have any special diet foods or beverages, you may want to bring them with you. There are snacks on board but you are welcome to bring whatever your like for yourself.
Please do not bring any glass bottles on the coach. We do not have any hot beverages on board.
Weather: For the weekend of your trip, the daytime temperature should be in the 90s and night time in the mid to high 70’s.
Bring stable walking shoes to walk around as the terrain is desert and some of the roads are not in yet for some of the properties. I suggest closed toed shoes like tennis shoes. It is difficult to walk around certain areas with sandals.
San Felipe is sunny. If you are sensitive to sun, remember to pack sunscreen, a hat (or you can get one in town on Saturday night !), comfortable clothes. You may want to bring a sweater or light jacket for the time on the motor coach and at night in town. If you want to put your feet into the water, you should bring water / surf shoes. The SF coast is like some parts of Hawaii and some of the coast is rocky.
We will be staying at the Las Palmas Hotel in San Felipe. The hotel is clean but simple. The hotel does not provide hair dryers; so you may want to bring your own. The electricity is the same as the US so you do not need any kind of converter. Internet in the hotel is spotty. There is a good WIFI signal near the restaurant & bar.
Please follow these directions if you want to do the Tour.
