Even in San Francisco, the Internet isn’t everywhere (try BART sometime). Mobile apps can be though!
In this meetup we’ll look at the latest with Couchbase Mobile. When you build your mobile app against a local document database that syncs, not only can you make that app works when you have no bars, but it’ll also give your users a super-fast, responsive UI since the data is right there.
Couchbase’s Mobile Developer Advocate, William Hoang, introduces Couchbase Mobile and Couchbase Lite features that will give you the full power of a Couchbase database locally on your device.
From there we will dive into getting started with your first Couchbase Lite Android HelloWorld Application. You will learn about how the Manager accesses the database and how to interact with a Couchbase Lite document oriented database.
We’ll wrap up by surveying the Couchbase Mobile features through building a task tracking Android application.
