We will be helping with the tasks of set up, registration, parking, directing routes, check points, food services and clean up. The volunteers will be essential to the fun and festivities of this special day.
Volunteers will be provided breakfast/lunch and a volunteer t-shirt. Public transportation is encouraged, limited parking available. This is a great way to have fun, help out a great cause and earn community service hours.
After signing up through the Giving Tree, you must also sign up directly through March of Dimes by clicking HERE (http://www.bayareamarchofdimes.eventbrite.com).
March of Dimes
2013 marks March of Dimes 44th annual March for Babies. The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.March for Babies is a family oriented and highly attended event with more than 7,000 participants expected this year.
This year marks our 75th anniversary and we are holding four walks in the Bay Area.
As a non-profit organization we make every effort to keep our event expenses low to ensure that the money we raise goes directly into our community. We’re looking forward to another exciting and successful March for Babies, but to achieve this goal we need the generous support of volunteers.
