You're invited! Join the San Francisco chapter of Many Hopes, the U.S. fundraising arm of a Kenyan organization which rescues, houses and educates girls in Kenya, on Wednesday November 7th, 6:30-8:30pm at Sports Basement, 1590 Bryant Street (corner of 15th and Bryant), San Francisco. I've been involved for over a year with them and it's a great organization!
Come enjoy beer, wine, snacks, and 10% off anything in the store at the mid-point of the annual "Breaking Ground" campaign for our San Francisco chapter.
You'll hear the latest about what's happening at the girls residence and boys and girls school in Kenya that we do fundraising for and why Many Hopes is unique in their approach to breaking the cycle of poverty and developing futrure leaders in Kenya. Learn more here: http://youtu.be/_ZqpyY5_xyM,
If you'd like to help, we'll give you everything you need to launch your personal Breaking Ground campaign for the big push in the final 11 days. If you can't attend but are intererested in being involved, please feel free to contact me or to donate directly on my webpage at http://manyhopes.donorpages.com/BreakingGround2012/ediannegrant by pushing the "invest" button, or set up your own team page there under mine and send emails to your friends. Every bit is so appreciated and goes a long way in Kenya.
At the get-together at Sports Basement you can learn how and why to join 100's of volunteers in raising $300,000 to hire teachers and housemothers and equip classrooms to educate and house girls in Kenya without leaving your computer. In the Bay area we are aiming to raise $45,000 by November 18th though the web-based campaign. We also are seeking more people to be involved with our other fundraisers throughout the year.
We're looking forward to seeing you. And we'll do a brief presentation at 7pm so get there early...
