Earth Day aftermath

Esteemed Earthlings and Friendly Vegans,

I need to rant. Thank you for listening/reading.

<rant>

For (the inevitable commercialization of) Earth Day on April 22nd
I recently received a letter from a real estate agent at Coldwell Banker
in which was included a list of 50 tips to "help you make
an impact - or less of an impact - on our planet". All kinds of good
things.
But NO mention at all of eating less (or no) meat or dairy.
I'm going to reply including a copy of the recent most excellent Good
Times article.
Has Al Gore ever mentioned the impact of a dietary change in all of his
eloquent blathering on climate change?

And web browsing this morning brought me to this:

     http://southwestp...

which is doubly offensive to me. Imprison a polar bear against their
will in a zoo
and then feed them cream cheese to better entertain the kids. WTF???

What is this world coming to? :(

</rant>

On a positive note I learned yesterday (finally) that
Cheryl (of the 'other' vegan meetup group)
IS still open to a 'mediation' and that the mediator
will be available in about a month.
Is anyone else (aside from me) interested in participating?

Jon
