The Seattle Ruby on Rails Developers Meetup Group Message Board › Cassandra Training in Seattle

Cassandra Training in Seattle

A former member
Post #: 1
Ruby developers, if you have ever had a question about Cassandra or wanted to learn more about it, Riptano is coming to Seattle on October 8th to do a day of training. The training is designed to teach you how to go from 0 - 60 in building applications on Cassandra. We'll answer questions about Ruby + Cassandra.

The agenda includes Cassandra installation and configuration, application design, basics of Cassandra internals, operations, and tuning and troubleshooting. It addresses specifics such as how to think in column families rather than a relational schema design and how Cassandra replication works with no single point of failure.

Riptano will also be hosting a free happy hour/meet-up the night before on October 7th. Details on the exact location of the happy hour will be coming soon. For now, make sure to register for the training as it typically sells out quickly. You can do so at http://www.eventbrite....
