Literature Stall at the Anarchist Bookfair (East London - from 10.00am)

Directions: The following buses stop near the college on Mile End Road: 25; 205; 339. The two nearest tube stations are Mile End (Central line, Hammersmith & City line or District line) or Stepney Green (Circle line, Hammersmith & City line or District line)

We plan to have a stall outside as we did last year now that we have been refused a stall inside.

We also intend to leaflet the assembly point of the TUC march 'Britain needs a pay rise' on the same day:

Party leafleting of TUC 'Britain needs a pay rise' march '
Saturday 18 October - assemble 11.00am at Blackfriars Embankment for march to Hyde Park

Comrades can then join up with others in Mile End

I'm told the ICC turned up much later when security had presumably gone home :)

That's what I tried to say. But still strange how they left the ICC alone in almost exactly the same place.

Turns out it was not the organisers of the Fair who turfed us away from the building but campus security.

Despite the determined efforts of the organisers of this year's Anarchist Bookfair to not only deny the Party a stall inside the building but to ensure it did not have one anywhere near the fair's entrance, comrades finally decided to move off the Queen Mary's University premises entirely and set up the stall on Mile End Road outside its west entrance.

Notwithstanding the above, a fairly successful day with £16.70 of literature sold and plenty more given away.

Thanks to all those comrades who turned out.
