In this group we will help each other improve the quality of our lives and the lives of those around us. We will use Meditation, Mindfulness, Yoga, Diet and Lifestyle to pursue the highest and best version of ourselves available. We will pull useful ideas from many different spiritual practices, science and philosophy to help ourselves grow.
The group is designed to be primarily an open discussion and exchange of ideas, with most of the group members participating, sharing their experiences, ideas, challenges and questions. I, the facilitator, have been a full time practitioner of meditation, mindfulness, and yoga for just over 3 years. My life has been transformed substantially through this practice, and it only feels right to share the ideas. I am also a full-time student of philosophy, psychology, and spirituality.
The group will begin with 10-15 minutes of myself introducing a new topic. Topics will include meditation, mindfulness, yoga, stress and anxiety management, relationships, effective communication, life purpose, lifestyle design, enlightenment, and anything else that can move the group forward.
There will then be an open discussion session of the topic for about 30 minutes, with myself answering questions and helping the best that I can. We will end the group with a 20 minute guided meditation. Together we can achieve balance in mind, body and spirit. This is a free community event and is part of my personal spiritual practice.
