• Nokomis Beach Strum Monday Morning at 10 AM!! New time starts now!

Karen has volunteered to lead our group on this holiday morning strum. Similar to the prior week, Karen will select a small list of songs to lead from the yellow and blue books and open it up to members to suggest songs. We'll be looking for volunteer leaders from time to time during the summer. Look ahead at the upcoming events for an opportunity to select a bunch of your favorite songs to lead - a perk for leaders who volunteer their time and talents. Be inventive, if you like. We love to learn new songs and ways to play them; and this can work well in our smaller summer group format. Ukulele players meet at Nokomis Beach under the pavilion at the end of Albee Road Monday morning from 10:00 am to 11:30 pm [NEW START TIME FOR THE SUMMER] for a fun and friendly ukulele strum along. We welcome all skill levels and players of other instruments as well. We recommend that you bring a chair, music stand, the Daily Ukulele yellow and blue books; if you don't have the books yet, someone will share. If you have other songs you want to play, please bring copies. LOOK FOR THE SONG LIST IN THE COMMENTS BELOW. Reminder: Keep the path to the beach clear and do not encroach on the hula hoopers, who have rented space at the beach just before us.

  • Come Strum @ Colonial Oaks

    Colonial Oaks Park

Come join us for another fun-filled afternoon of blasting our way through the oldies. Everyone is welcome, regardless of skill level or ability. We use the two Daily Ukulele songbooks, but don't worry if you don't have them. Our group members are willing to share. We take a short social break at 3 PM, so bring a snack to share and your own beverage and get acquainted with other ukers. You should bring your ukulele, tuner, music stand, songbooks, snack and anything else that will add to the merriment.
