Off of Hwy 4, exit Franklin Canyon Rd., turn left @ stop and another left at stop toward Franklin Canyon Golf Course. Christie Road is a small country road on the right, just past the course entrance. Continue on the country road until you see trailhead parking.
This historic, 700+ acre property of Bernardo and Carlotta Fernandez is what remains of their 7000-acre ranch. It was preserved by John Muir Land Trust, and opened to the public in 2010. An important adjacent 483-acre property of intact habitat, formerly known as Franklin Canyon, was also acquired and added in 2010.
Dogs off leash permitted, but beware of ticks that can be picked up on the trail. I would suggest wearing long hiking pants or spraying yourself with repellent. I will provide an essential oil spray to use to repel ticks before the hike if interested.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!
