This is a group dedicated to leveraging the beautiful outdoors to achieve our health and fitness goals. Working outdoors challenges our bodies more then walking on a treadmill or using a stationary bike. The VanCity Bootcamp team offers camps that incorporate compound movements (no bicep curls here!), core work (Pilates), balance work as well as a 10 minute yoga sequence to help rejuvenate aching muscles and aid recovery. Your bootcamp instructor has 5,000+ hours of personal training experience, certified by ACE, BCRPA, CrossFit as well as the Functional Movement Systems. With a big belief in hybrid training and not adhering to one particular methodology every bootcamp offers a mixture of different moves and challenges which will leave you feeling fresh and over time stronger. This group withstands wind, rain, snow and sun to go out there and give it your all. We REFUSE to pay heed to the RAIN GODS and stay indoors, instead we perform RAIN DANCES (with some burpees thrown in!) The camps will mainly be run out of David Lam Park and in the event that it is super rainy we will then work out under the Cambie bridge (Coopers PArk).
