We will be meeting roughly every two weeks, though that may change from time to time, based on the group's needs. The year is 2074, and we're primarily based out of Seattle in-game.
THE STORY LAST TIME:
The last time, our team got hired for not one, not two, but THREE separate jobs! Fortunately, they were all connected! First, they were hired to find a missing archaeologist. Then, they were hired to retrieve the item the archaeologist was supposed to be smuggling into Seattle. And finally, they were hired to kidnap and drop off the guy who kidnapped her somewhere where the cops could grab him.
It all started with a meet at Underworld 93 and listening to a concert by none other than Maria Mercurial! Their Mr. Johnson was a famous former Shadowrunner named MacAllister. He gave them the first job.
The trail led them to the Ork Underground in Seattle. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villany! After putting down some gangers causing a fuss at the entrance, they found a small child who offered to lead them to the smuggler's harbor in the Underground...for a fee. He led them true and, finding the smuggler's boat unoccupied, the Technomancer shredded the guts of the onboard computer, leaving it a whimpering husk of its for self and learning of a warehouse mere blocks away that the smuggler owned.
Assuming this was the kidnap site, our team decided on splitting the assault and hitting the warehouse from the roof and the street at the same time after the face and the combat mage used their respectiove abilities to see through the walls of the building. While half the team, including combat mage, technomancer, covert ops specialist and bounty-hunting troll. The street sam, face and demo man all gathered on the street. The troll began cutting his way through the roof with a monofilament chainsaw, not only opening a good-sized hole, but also making lots of noise for the bad guys to home in on.
Unfortunately, this took far longer than anyone was expecting, allowing the baddies to get into position. The oni street sam whipped the front door open and was immediately dropped by a hail of bullets which wouldn't have hurt so badly if they weren't APDS rounds. The face started popping heads through the wall using his radar vision and a heavy sniping rifle. The demo man tried to take some of the guards out, but was quickly dropped himself. Finally, the guards decided to run outside as that sniping rifle was causing them worry. Running through the open door, one got off a lucky shot and damaged the sniping rifle enough to put it out of commission. Unfortunately for him, the face also had a shotgun and put an end to him quickly.
Meanwhile, up on the roof, the hole was finished and they dropped a flash-bang into the hole. Dropping inside, it was found that there were fire spirits backing up the bad guys! After a fierce bit of combat, the combat mage was the last one standing. She quickly heals up the troll who helps her start tossing hostages (yes, the missing archaeologist was there) up through the hole in the roof. Just then a second fire elemental started to materialize! The face started to beat feet out of the area while the mage started combat with the second spirit. With no other baddies to worry about, she took it down quickly.
The team beat a hasty retreat from the Underground and in the end got paid for all three jobs and ended up with a slew of new contacts!
