Welcome Trailblazers!, I hope your ready for lots of ups and downs with some significant gain, but just in the first few miles, then this hike becomes a beautiful jaunt in our local mountains...hope you can come out!
This hike will be a moderately strenuous9 +/- mile loop with about[masked] ft elev gain.
We will start the hike from the end of Liberty Cyn Rd south of the 101. From there we'll head north to Agoura Rd, turn left and proceed about .25 mile to the Heartbreak Hill Trailhead. From there its up the heartbreak hills and on to the junction with the Phantom trail. We continue on the Phantom, cross Mulholland Hwy proceed along the Cistern and Lookout trails until we hit the Malibu Creek State Park main drag, i.e. Crags High Rd. Here we turn left (east) and continue until we hit the Grassland Trail and head north. We again cross Mullholland Hwy and continue on Liberty Cyn trl back to the cars. Some where along the way we'll take a quick break. Should take 3 hrs. or a little more, so don't forget to bring a headlamp. Hope you can join us.
