The trail follows Trancas creek along a lush tree shaded pathway. We will cross two bridges and a streambed before climbing towards the Zuma Ridge trail. This trail leads up to Buzzards Roost. Along the way, we will have great views of the coast and ocean. The total distance for this hike will be 8 miles with approximately 1900 feet elevation gain/loss. This will be an out and back hike.
The hike is mostly exposed with welcome shade in the canyon. Dress accordingly.
