Yoga for the Mind
• What we'll do Experience yoga for the mind. It will bring awareness, understanding, and flexibility to your thinking. We will not be doing physical yoga. This is a mindful, awareness practice that will assist you in getting to know yourself in a way that you least expected. This is not self help. This is self HEALTH. In this six week series you will experience: - how to identify and heal any stressful thought - an increase in self knowledge and awareness - an awakening to your true nature - self compassion and kindness - how to forgive yourself - the release of guilt and shame Tools to be learned: - how to use Byron Katie’s primary mechanism for identifying stressful thoughts – A Judge Your Neighbour Worksheet - self facilitation using the One Belief at a Time sheet - implementation of insights into your life (Living Turn Arounds) The Work of Byron Katie is a profoundly effective yet simple tool that the mind can use to end its own needless stress and suffering. No prior experience is required. Please bring an open mind, notebook and a pen. People who do The Work as an ongoing practice commonly report: - Alleviation of depression: Find resolution, even happiness, in situations that were once debilitating. - Decreased stress: Live with less anxiety or fear. - Improved relationships: Experience deeper connection and intimacy with your partner, your parents, your children, your friends, and yourself. - Reduced anger: Understand what makes you angry and resentful and become reactive less often, with less intensity. - Increased mental clarity: Live and work more intelligently and effectively, with integrity. - More energy: Experience a new sense of ongoing vigor and well-being. - More peace: Discover how to become “a lover of what is.” Register for the morning or evening class. What we're about

Public Group

The Work of Byron Katie has been called many things - the End of Suffering, the Technology of Freedom, Four Questions and a Turnaround. It is a simple, accessible, and profound process of inquiry. It introduces you to you, without your story - whether your story is "I'm too fat", "He should love me", "She should listen to me", "I'm a failure", or... fill in the blank. Anyone with an open mind can do the Work and experience the peace and freedom that lie underneath every painful thought. Every month we will gather to question the thoughts that bring us fear, anger, jealousy, resentment, guilt, or any stressful emotion and discover the truth behind those thoughts. Through a simple process of inquiry, we discover the fullness of life and reality - a kind and effortless state of grace, your birthright. In 1986, after a decade of extreme mental and emotional suffering, Byron Katie experienced a life-altering awakening on the floor of a halfway house in California. What awoke within her was the awareness that no thought was true, and that she was not, nor had ever been, separate from the apparent world outside of her. The process of inquiry that returned her to the experience of her true nature put into words is the Work of Byron Katie. At first glance it may not look like much, and in fact, it isn't much - 4 simple questions and the invitation to turn whatever thought is troubling us around. But when applied to real life situations - as mundane as "he should put the toilet seat down" or comprehensive as "there should be no war" with the willingness to discover the truth within you - our very thoughts turn into thresholds to the heart of love, forgiveness and peace. Come and enjoy this journey of you with us. There are no teachers here, only students, the Work, and the love of realization, discovered and lived.
