Writing Submissions Due for December 19th Critique
In order to give everyone enough time to read the submissions for Wednesday’s critique (December 19th), we will aim to have all submissions posted one week before the meetup. Note: that the submission window will be 24 hours before/after the due date - so for this upcoming meetup, it would be the 11th (24hrs before) through the 13th (24hrs after) There is a maximum of 6 submissions per meetup. This will ensure that everyone gets at least 15 minutes of feedback. The sooner you post, the sooner you grab a spot to submit your work. :) ***SUBMISSIONS*** If you have something you want to submit, make sure to post it to our shared drive in the Writing Submissions - 2018 Submissions Folder. Submissions should all: - Be double formatted - Exceed no more than 15 pages - Have a blurb at the top if submission is part of a larger work, this will help catch up readers if they are not able to attend each meetup but would still like to have a high level understanding of your story ***SHARED DRIVE LINK*** https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B6N61m0ZYp7kQ1JsRWxPcWQza3M?usp=sharing ***VIRTUAL FEEDBACK*** If you are looking to submit your stories to get feedback, but can’t make it in person, let us know in the Submissions Invite that you’ll be attending virtually so we can provide digital feedback! ***SHARED DRIVE ACCESS*** If you don't have permission to access the shared drive, you will need to reach out to me (Elizabeth Lacquement) with your email address and I will add you to the shared drive, otherwise you won’t be able to submit or read any of the other submissions. :(

    What we're about

“Writing… It’s never too late. Your writing will only get better as you get older and wiser. If you write something beautiful and important, and the right person somehow discovers it, they will clear room for you on the bookshelves of the world-at any age. At least try.” – Elizabeth Gilbert

This group is for anyone who wants to work on their writing game/dedication, or for anyone who has thought about writing but still hasn’t put ideas onto paper. All skill levels are welcome.

The mission of this group is to help inspire to create. I started this group to meet others in the area who need that extra boost of motivation to keep working on a story they’ve started, or to pick up that pen/type on that keyboard and start at the beginning.
