Please join us for a club meeting to meet Rotary 9800's District Governor Murray Verso, who will be speaking to us about why he is passionate about Rotary.
Murray has been a member of the Rotary Club of Williamstown since 1981, during which he has been president twice. He has been actively involved in the Rotary District of 9800 (our club's district!), which encompasses clubs in Melbourne and central Victoria, taking on leadership roles, towards his current role as District Governor of District 9800. In this role Murray provides leadership, motivation, and guidance to all the clubs (over 60) in the District. Murray will talk to us about why he is passionate about Rotary.
Murray is a retired medical practitioner who has lived and worked in Williamstown for 37 years. He was previously a member of the District 9800 Australian Rotary Health Committee and has spoken at Rotary Clubs and community groups on the work of ARH in general and on men’s health and mental health awareness in particular.
For 15 years, he was the Medical Officer of Health for the City of Hobson’s Bay, has been a Council Member of the Victorian Branch of the Australian Medical Association and is a former board member of the Westgate Network of General Practice.
