Please join us to learn about a new community initiative from Detective Senior Sergeant Rhonda Brown.
Rotary partnerships in action - Victoria Police Leaders Mentoring Program
Rhonda Brown has led a distinguished career in the police force having received numerous commendations for her investigative work over the past 25 years. She is currently a Detective Senior Sergeant with the Melbourne Divisional Response Unit. Her role involves responding to armed robberies, theft, drug crimes and recidivist offenders.
Rhonda is one of 30 police officers selected for the highly regarded Victoria Police Leaders Mentoring Program for 2015/16. Entry to the program is very competitive as it aims to recognise police officers who are considered leaders in their field. Rotary District 9800 has been a proud supporter of this program over the past 7 years with selected members providing mentorship around community engagement and partnerships.
Rhonda will share with the club her community service initiative and discuss her visions for the mentoring program. This is quite literally a ‘behind the badge’ presentation!
