If you enjoy the outdoors, don't mind a little dirt and don't want to travel a long distance, this is the perfect 2 night camping trip close to home. Cost is $30 per person and will cover 2 nights camp spot (shared camp site), Saturday/Sunday breakfast and Saturday's Dinner, S'Mores and the firewood. Everyone is on their own for Friday dinner and Saturdays lunch. Saturday is a free day, stick around the camp with a good book, go for a hike, or check out the local beaches. Be sure to come prepared; small tent (there will be 8 of us in 1 camp site so no 6 man tents), a chair for sitting around the fire in the evening, sleeping bag and flash light or lantern. Quiet time usually starts around 10pm and I will ask that everyone respect the quiet time. To be on the YES RSVP list, you will need to pay via paypal - [masked] Rain will cancel and you will get a full refund. Any cancellations 48 hours before the trip will not be refunded. If we get over 8 people, I can reserve a 2nd site. If you'd rather have your own space....you are more than welcome to reserve. There is also a $6.00 car entry fee that you will pay to the park when you arrive. And on a side note, there will be meetups that are opened up to bring guests, this is not one of those times. Members only please since space is so limited.
If you are like me and have a hard time drawing a stick figure, you'll surprise yourself at this Paint Night to be held at Bottle & Bottega! This is a lot of fun and you will come out of it with a surprisingly nice piece of 'art' for yourself or a friend or loved one. Of course, both men and women are welcome! Cost is $35.00 per person; this will pay for the artist that will walk us through our painting step by step and for our materials. I'm still working with the artist on the piece that we will paint. It will involve either a vineyard/grapes or a wine glass or bottle. If you are interested in having dinner at Mama Mia's in Campbell before our paint night, please be sure to mention that in your RSVP. Dinner will be at 5pm. Other wise meet us at Bottle & Bottega in Campbell - Painting class starts with Guest Arrival time: 6:30pm with a Mix & Mingle, Painting time: 7pm-9pm If we do not get 10 people to attend, this class will be cancelled so check for updates. Feel free to bring friends and a bottle of wine to share. This event is for 21 and over. Have you ever been to a working goat dairy? Now's your chance! Get up close with the goats and hopefully with spring being here, there will be lots of baby goats. Their lovely guides will take you through the edible garden into the pasture, loafing barn and milking parlor, with a peek at cheesemaking in the dairy. "The smells, the routine, the noises and energy of the farm fill the land with a hum and a rhythm of the seasons. The milkers welcome the herd each morning and begin our day. The cheesemakers chitter chatter as they make cheese with meticulous attention to the art. Our shopkeepers and dinner makers weave between the workings of the dairy and the goats and fill our shelves with farm-made foods and heartwarming meals." This place isn't too far from us and is a beautiful drive. They have a tasting room with cheeses and olive oils. The tour is 90 minutes long, wear shoes that you can get dirty. There is a cost of $35.00 per person. There are only 19 spots available and each person is responsible for buying their own ticket ahead of time before they sell out. http://www.harleyfarms.com/tours.html Just click on tours and be sure to pick Saturday June 1 at 1pm. They have 19 spots available - I just bought my ticket. And if you haven't been to Pescadero before, they have a wonderful bakery, a deli, a restaurant and a couple little shops to explore before or after the tour. Hope to see you there!
Get ready for a fun afternoon with friends. Wine tasting, picnic lunch and I'm sure conversation and laughter will be plentiful. Located in the East Bay Hills above Silicon Valley, Big Dog Vineyards is a family-owned boutique winery with a focus on small-batch, handmade wines. I've heard great things about this winery and the scenery is outstanding. They will allow food in, so let's make this a picnic/wine-tasting event! Please bring something to share (finger-foods would be great). I'll supply the papergoods. Or if you'd rather just bring your own picnic lunch, that's okay too. I've never been, so not sure of the best place to meetup. I'll try to watch for familiar faces and for new members, just look for the noisest table - and I say that with a smile and in all sincerity . ;) Hope you'll join us!
