Duluth Package Store’s Holiday Wine Tasting

The Duluth Wine Beer & Spirits Super Store is hosting its Annual Holiday Wine Event on November 13 from 6:30-8:30 pm, in The Crush Room which is directly in back of the store.

They will feature approximately 30 wines and heavy Hors d’Oeuvres, enough for a dinner. I attended last year and was very impressed with the delicious wines and food (a buffet with two meats, four sides, rolls, dessert, fruit plates, cheese & crackers).

The cost is $15 (a bargain!). Call (678)[masked] to reserve your spot. You can pay in advance at the store or once you arrive on the 13th.

Address: 2870 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Duluth, GA 30096 (2.2 miles north of the intersection of Pleasant Hill and Peachtree Industrial Blvd, on the right)

Phone Number: (678)[masked]

Store hours: Monday - Thursday 9 am - 10 pm, Saturday 9 am - 11 pm

Hope to see you there!

Orson

Yes, it was a full house and just fantastic. I don't understand why some Explorer Social members wait till the last minute to RSVP and then wonder? The best food I ever had at a wine tasting, no cracker and cheese...

Best wine tasting and food quality I ever had. Just fantastic. We even had lamb in the food section...never seen that high end before!

Duluth Wine Beer & Spirits "Crush Room" very small, has State Fire
Marshall limits on how many folks can be in there. Owner Bernard said
had to refuse 20-30 people who phoned, wanted to attend but could
not be accommodated. He was sorry to miss potential new customers
coming and participating but was nothing he could do, unfortunately.
He told me this evening he may hold duplicate tastings on different
    nights in the future.

$15 for incredible wines and a buffet dinner ...what more could you ask for. The quality of the wines were much higher than expected. This was one of the two best wines tastings I attended this year. It was a relatively small tasting room but the food and wines were exceptional (sparkling, whites and reds). They had to turn people away. This made the Decatur Wine Festival look like a second class event. ...wonderful ....

I talked with the store today and they are close to capacity. So...if you have not called to reserve your spot, please do so today. I would hate to see anyone turned away because they did not call and reserve a spot prior to showing up. [masked]

I am so sorry ... I talked with them in the morning. I am sure that they have had some cancellations so you might want to try again.

The only entrance to the Crush Room is in the back with parking spaces available. There is no access to the room from the store.

Georgia has a questionable law that states that if you sell spirits, you cannot serve alcoholic beverages in your store or provide access through the store to a room where you do serve. That's why Duluth Package Store and Hinton's Wine Store have separate tasting rooms. Conversely, Wine Xplorer, Total Wine and Vino Venue in Dunwoody serve wine in their respective stores because they do not sell hard liquor.

Charles, we'll make an official toast with some top of the line wine!

For everyone who enjoys fine wines, good food, this Duluth store's Holiday Party is a mandatory event! One of best store tastings in
the metro area. Shame they only do it once a year.

Please make sure that you call in your RSVP, even if you are not planning to pay until the day of the event. The tasting room has a limit on the number of people it can accommodate. Thanks.
