Level 3- Partial off Trail Snowshoe to AC/DC Shelter

Level 3- Partial off Trail Snowshoe to AC/DC Shelter

No Dogs

We are going to snow from Edison Snow Park to AC/DC Shelter. It is approximately 6 miles and an elevation gain of approximately 1000 ft. You need to be comfortable snowshoeing off trail. If you have not been snowshoeing or gone at least 6 miles in snowshoes this trip is not for you.

We will follow the trail for approximately 1.5 mile than head off trail for about 1.5 mile to get to AC/DC Shelter than head back the same way. We will stop at the shelter for a break before heading back. We will stay together as a group.

Make sure to bring plenty of water something to eat and the proper clothing for the conditions. Weather can change without much notice.

Meet in/outside the Century Drive Starbucks at 8am, the stand-alone store not the one in Safeway. Please park in the NW corner of the parking lot near the roundabout; we'll carpool from there. We'll need drivers who will need snow tires. Snow Park passes are required at Edison

This is a small group so please keep your RSVPs up to date. It isn't fair if someone on a waiting list doesn't get to go, or someone else is deterred from signing up at all, and then you no-show.

Thank you Gary and Laura for leading the trip, for taking pics and the GPS! I noticed on the GPS read that we went in a 'really' straight line when we were off-trail! and I also saw the speed at the end - I apologize for that. I was just trying to stay ahead of Gary :-).
