This is a 9 mile round trip, out-n-back hike with 2,200 feet of elevation gain/loss.
Trail Description: The trailhead is a short distance beyond the Lava Lake Snow Park off of Hwy 20 just past Hwy 126 & Hwy 20 junction. The trail starts by descending down to a footbridge that crosses a creek before starting the climb to the top. The top of Crescent Mountain (5,750 ft.) offers dramatic views of Mt. Washington, Three Sisters and the remains of a forest fire lookout tower.
Be sure to bring the 10 essentials, plenty of water, sunscreen, a snack for on top of the mountain and anything else you may need.
