Belknap Crater hike

It looks like we have another good turnout for the hike to Belknap on Saturday. It is going to be a warm and sunny day - so please remember to bring plenty of drinking water. The plan is to hike to little Belknap crater. That's about 3 miles along the Pacific crest trail over lava. Apparently it is not recommended for dogs because the lava rock is not kind to canine feet. At Little Belknap you have a choice. Normal humans can return directly to the cars while the extremists can continue on to climb big Belknap crater. That adds about another mile (or so) plus 500 feet of climbing up loose sand and gravel. The views are wonderful. In any case, it'll be a great hike.
