Re: [hiking-309] Future Overnight Backpack Trips All,

If there is any interest, I could pass on some of my experience in bicycle touring based on a ride across the US on the Trans-Am in 2005 and a 700 mile tour in Oregon in 2006.  Maybe at a pub meeting or on a hike, if I ever manage to join you on one.  I am also interested in a short tour this year, perhaps.

Hi Stan (and group),

Count me in as interested in overnight backpacking this Spring/Summer.

I backpacked most recently for one night near North Sister Peak last Fall, in case you wanted to know of my latest experience.

On a side note, I am also interest in bike tour camping, either off-road or on-road.  I know this is not really hiking oriented, but wanted to throw it out your way anyhow.

I wanted to take a poll and see how many would be interested in doing some overnight backpack trips this Spring/Summer. The first one would be a beginner trip staying one night at one of our nearby lakes. For those that have not experienced being in the wilderness at night and early morning would be in for a real treat. Encountering the beauty of nature can be truly enhanced with this type of adventure!

Please indicate your interest by e-mailing back so I can better gage the interest level out there.

Happy Hiking!!
