Reminder: Bill Allard Workshop (May 3 - 5) A Once In A Lifetime Opportunity!

From: Christian D.
Sent on: Wednesday, April 3, 2013 11:01 AM

Hi CPI Folks -

I thought I'd reach out one more time, and encourage you to attend the Bill
Allard Workshop - "A Workplace" <http://www.cphoto...; ,
which is scheduled for May 3rd, 4th, and 5th.

Class participants will be photographing local businesses at work, all
within walking distance of the CPI. That means more time shooting, and less
time traveling. You can find the full details HERE
<http://www.cphoto...; , and RSVP for the workshop as

Bill is an amazing guy, and has been a National Geographic photographer for
49 years! We are so lucky to have him in our city, and so willing to reach
out to other photographers to help them with their craft.

We need at least 8 people by April 20th to make this dream come true, so
please consider the value you'll get from this immersive experience. We hope
to see you May 3rd!

Kind Regards,

Christian DeBaun

Testimonials - Bill Allard Workshop 2012
It was great and I learned a lot. I appreciate having a big name workshop
leader locally and that he is willing to work locally. It shows he really
cares. Thanks for your hard work, I know it's not easy coordinating and
running these things! I've run several of my own.
~ Victoria Dye

First off, let me thank you for an exceptional workshop experience. I
firmly believe that the weekend was quite helpful to me in terms of changing
how I look at and make photos (the importance of separation, filling empty
spaces within the frame, and using negative space more effectively), as well
as providing me with a healthy boost in motivation. As these lessons sink
in, I am confident that my skill as a photographer will continue to grow.
In other words, I can say without any hesitation or reservations that I come
away from the workshop with exactly what I had hoped for.
~ Keith Alan Sprouse

It was really just a great workshop. I got so much out of seeing everyone's
work and the critiques that Bill gave. It really was an honor to be taught
by one of the greatest photographers of our time. I also really enjoyed
seeing his work on Sunday afternoon and having him talk about his process.
It is very inspirational to hear about how one works, how a photo emerges
and how to work a scene. Loved, loved, loved it! Thank you so much!
~ Karen Pape

Thanks so much for the contact information. I really enjoyed this weekend's
workshop and I REALLY hope this becomes an annual event. :-)
Food/beverage/location were excellent! Thank you so much for providing this
~ Lindsey Henry

Bill Allard was fantastic. The perfect mix of approachable and warm in
between critiques, but honest and blunt when reviewing the photos. That's
exactly what makes for a good instructor. Overall it was a great experience!
