Free "Twilight Hikers" Weekly Friday Night Year-Round Hike

Greetings Fellow Hike Lover,

So that you and anyone you wish to bring or send, may come along. We invite the absolute delight to have you light up the night and step into Twilight Hiking bliss with us. Below are the details and via this page you may RSVP (also see at http://thegatewayportal.com/twilight_hikers.html
):

Who & What:
We are the "Twilight Hikers" and we are
delighted you have found us, or vice-versa.
We have been around for over 3 decades.
Come rain or shine (with exceptions);
full, half or no moon, we hike.

Where:
We meet at Stoner Recreation Center's Parking Lot ~ 1835 Stoner Ave - LA, 90025 (on SW corner of entire one block park property).

When:
We meet every Friday Night at 6:45PM, then we carpool to the nominated trailhead by just before 7PM. The hikes are generally about 4.5 to 5 miles and take a total of 2 hours. We are usually back in the parking lot of Stoner Recreation Center by about 9:30PM. To wrap it up, some of us go out to eat at the pick of the majority. As assumable, it does get dark, but we pick trails more lit by the glow of the city or the moon but it does help to be awar
e of this ahead of time and prepare you to be comfortable in such a setting. Some bring flashlights, but we encourage to keep that to a minimum as the enjoyment of this group comes in large part letting our eyes adjust and enjoying nature in the evening hours. It makes an awesome Friday night, we are there every Friday =o)
Why:
Ah yes, and why. Why? In part because this
is a venue we each in our own way, have come
to experience a sense of gratitude for the
opportunity that life is.

Directions:
Stoner Recreation Center is just North of its nearest cross

section of Bundy and Olympic.
10W) Exit at Bundy Drive North.
Take Bundy North passing Pico, passing Olympic and at Missouri make a right.
A few streets later, on your left hand side is Stoner Recreation Center's Parking
Lot (on SW corner of the park's entire one block property).
10E from PCH in Santa Monica area) Exit Centinela which immediately takes you to Pico.
Make a left onto Pico, go up two streets to Bundy and make a left,
pass Olympic and at Missouri make a right.
A few streets later, on your left hand side is Stoner Recreation Center's Parking Lot.
We look forward to having you light up the night and step into Twilight Hiking bliss with us.

Yes I really wanted to be there but my roommate organized a last-minute birthday bash and couldn't resist, of course! Always good to have abundant options available to us! Catch you next time! Off for a hike on my own, right now . . . Be well!

Wow such great cool breezing weather last night for our hike in Will Rogers. We certainly missed three of you here that RSVP'd but we did not have among us: Stephen, Elizabeth and Judith. Looking forward to having you with us next time, the longest days of the year are just ahead. Next week at the hike we will inform everyone about the next 2 hikes with special aspects to them...
