Strawberry Spinach Salad from Jayne:

Original Recipe Yield 4 servings

1/2 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
1 1/2 teaspoons dried minced onion
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
2 bunches fresh spinach - chopped, washed and dried
1 pint strawberries, halved

1.Whisk together the sugar, sesame seeds, sesame oil, poppy seeds, dried onion, paprika, oil and vinegar. Refrigerate until chilled.

2.In a salad bowl, combine the spinach and strawberries. Drizzle with dressing, toss lightly and serve.

Spinach Strata from JoAnn:

1 French Bread, sliced
2 tblsp. butter
1 cup chopped onion
2 - 10 oz. pkgs. frozen spinach, thawed & drained thoroughly
1/2 tsp. salt, dash pepper
1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese or cheese you prefer
3 beaten eggs
2 1/2 cups milk

Grease a 2 qt. baking dish & cover bottom with 1/2 of the bread slices. In medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add onion, salt & pepper & cook until tender. Stir in spinach. Layer spinach mixture over bread slices. Top with 1 cup cheese. Layer the remaining bread slices over cheese. In a bowl stir together beaten eggs and milk. Pour egg-milk mixture over layers. Cover & refrigerate at least 1 hour or

Preheat oven to 375. Remove cover from dish, sprinkle with remaining cheese. Cover & bake for 45 minutes. Uncover & bake 15 minutes more or until heated through. Let strata stand covered for 10 minutes before cutting into squares for serving.

Spicy Cinnamon Cake by Jane H.

(Prepared for Game Night)

1 (18 ounce package Spice Cake Mix
1 (4 serving) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 cup sour cream
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup corn oil
5 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions: Preheat Oven to 350 degrees

Grease a 10 inch tube pan (bundt pan). Combine cake mix,
instant pudding, sour cream, eggs, and corn oil and beat
together well. In a separate bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, and
pecans. Pour half of batter into prepared pan and sprinkle with
sugar mixture, reserving a little to sprinkle on top. Pour the
rest of batter into pan and sprinkle with the rest of sugar
mixture. Bake 1 hour. Let cool and remove from pan.
