The International Women and Children's Group of Eindhoven

Merhabahis,  Chào, Hello.

This group is about women and children from all nationalities coming together to share their advice and experiences of living in, and around Eindhoven. The ages of our younger members range from 5 months to 7 years old. Toys are available, but you are free to bring your own if you wish. You don't have to have a child to come along! Tea and coffee costs two euros, with free parking at the back of The Hub. Lets meet up!

Hello! I'm not actually in Eindhoven but in Berlin right now. We're a mixed family (IT-NL) with me being the Dutch counterpart ;-) and my husband just got a job offer in Eindhoven. I'm very reluctant because I'm just head over heels in love with Berlin, where we've been only 6 months. It's a thoroughly 'European' city whereas I feel moving back to the Netherlands our family would lose that open-minded, international touch. What are your experiences, am I worrying for nothing, how is Eindhoven to live in if you're not (only) Dutch? Thanks for comments! Ilse

(Probably my questions make more sense if I explain I haven't lived in Holland since 2008!)

Hi Ilse, welcome. It can be a bit of a Pandora's box when you leave your own country and then return some years later. I felt the same when we left Den Haag and returned to Manchester only to find some wonderful new international friends there. Although this group is new, it is growing every week and welcomes dutch and internationals from all over the world. Its a group that shares advice, experience and knowledge on a range of topics. If you decide to move, I hope you can come along to the meetings and be part of this positive growing network of women.

Could it be organized a little bit later or in the morning? Most of the children are sleeping between 1 and 3 p.m...I would like very much to come, but my daughter of 2 is also still sleeping...

We did have it later in the afternoon but not so many of us could make it. We have more people coming now. It doesn't matter if you're late...I often am and it's fine!! :) Hope you can make it soon!

Hi Liudmila, unfortunately the new time is the earliest that I can get to The Hub to set up the toys and refreshments. Hope to see you both soon, when new routines come into play.

I couldn't make it because the man is still here repairing the wash machine! Sorry that I haven't introduced myself! I am from Mexico, 34 years old. Living 5 years in the Netherlands with my Dutch husband. I have a 18 months daughter and nowadays I work some hours as a graphic designer and I take care of my little one! Hopefully see you soon! Have a nice day!

I want to attend this Wednesday but it will depend on the person that has to fix the wash machine. Hopefully he will be here early and finish before the meeting! If it is like that see you there and if not enjoy it and until next time! Gr
