This month we delve into Ernest Hemingway's second major work of nonfiction, "Green Hills of Africa". The book chronicles a hunting safari in East Africa that Hemingway took with his wife, Pauline Marie Pfeiffer in 1933. Scenes of the trip are interspersed with Hemingway's meditations on life, writing and writers in a book that is very accessible and a quick read (unlike the more challenging "Death in Afternoon" which touches on some of the same themes).
The book was published in 1935 and is divided into four parts: Pursuit and Conversation, Pursuit Remembered, Pursuit and Failure, and Pursuit as Happiness.http://www.meetup.com/Hemingway-Book-Club/calendar/13069229/When
