Hi Pizza Aficionado, We had a wonderful Pizza Party at Posticino. The wonderful story of Bacini’s rich heritage began back in 1989 when the first branch was opened up in Rosebank, Johannesburg. The restaurant’s Italian background and flair was really put on show in during the 1990 Soccer World Cup. As the tournament was hosted in Italy, Bacini’s support for their origin nation made sound waves throughout the Rosebank area and really put them on the map. Owner, Raimondo Napoli, has been tossing pizza since day one, and is the real driving force behind the success of this slice of paradise, with his father, Bernado Napoli as his source of inspiration from the very beginning. His first daughter, Natasha, was practically born in a Pizza oven – family has always been at the core of how Raimondo and his wife, Carla, have run their restaurant. In 1994, Bacini’s moved to the Mother City, setting up shop in both Rondebosch and the bottom of Kloof Street before finding its home at 177 Kloof Street – where it still is today. From the moment you walk into into Bacini’s – you feel at home, from the friendly staff to the great quality of food, it really is the all in one package. As mentioned before, family has a big role in the running of this restaurant – Raimondo’s sister, Raffaella, is always behind the scenes as a manager on the floor as well as most of the administration work. His youngest daughter, Della, can be found helping out as a manager of the restaurant

Our objective is to share an evening with friends and new acquaintances dining on Pizza at different Pizza restaurants in our quest to find the best Pizza, combined with the Pizzeria's authentic ambiance, superior service and value.

At the end of each meal, we will rate the Pizza, the restaurant for its ambiance, service and value.

The search may be arduous, but it will have its own rewards. Come join us on this culinary journey.
