Our objective is to share an evening with friends and new acquaintances dining on Pizza at different Pizza restaurants in our quest to find the best Pizza, combined with the Pizzeria's authentic ambiance, superior service and value.
At the end of each meal, we will rate the Pizza, the restaurant for its ambiance, service and value.
The search may be arduous, but it will have its own rewards. Come join us on this culinary journey.
Via Vittoria has opened the doors to its first Cape Town restaurant at the Clock Tower in the V&A Waterfront. This neighbourhood Osteria is well-known for their Porchetta Friday’s (a roll of delicious roasted pork cooked for over 8 hours in a wood-fired oven), their own dough room where they make all their own pasta and pizza bases with imported Italian flour as well as their affordable lunch menu.
The casual style restaurant has an inviting bar for cocktails, craft beer and a wide selection of local wines. The artisanal Italian inspired menu has dishes to suit all palettes making it the perfect restaurant for a casual family dinner of pizza and pasta with a carafe of house wine, or dining on shellfish, fresh fish and veal with corporate clients.
“We have a passion for food and we love welcoming guests with our homemade Limoncello – it really makes us feel like an authentic Italian Osteria. Our pasta is ‘Tutta la nostra pasta e fatta in casa’ which means our pasta is made in house every day”, says owners Marco Zagato and Graham Muller who has been in the restaurant industry for over 20 years.
Via Vitorria emphasis on quality, service and hospitality at reasonable prices makes it an exciting addition to the Silo District. Weekly meal specials, daily aperitivo hour from 3-6 pm with specials on cocktails, wines and bar food and a lunch menu ensure that everyone can try their food!
