What we're about

The Spiritual Forum is not a church service. It is a platform for spiritual deepening and spiritual living. We gather for topic-centered dialogue with the intention of learning how to live spiritually in every aspect of our lives. Some people share, most listen. We all learn and grow. Our dialogue is recorded as a podcast each week and published on iTunes, Stitcher and Soundcloud. We are a Spirit-led voice of Awakening in the world as we share how we strive to live spiritually in a complex world.

Come check us out and see for yourself. You can also learn more us on our website: thespiritualforum.org or listen to our podcast on your favorite podcast app.

The Spiritual Forum is a non-profit organization affiliated with Unity Worldwide Ministries, led by Rev. Carol Saunders. All donations are tax deductible.

The Spiritual Forum

The Patty Turner Center

The Spiritual Forum is a community of people who are doing their best to live spiritually in every aspect of their lives. We come together as a group on most Sunday mornings to engage in dialogue and produce a weekly podcast. This is what you can expect if you attend. We begin at 10 am with 10 minutes of contemplative, guided meditation. After that Rev. Carol introduces a spiritual topic and we launch into facilitated dialogue. Our time in dialogue has ground rules. Participants are asked to share from a place of self-inquiry, not from analysis or opinion of the world or history. We ask that the focus be inward and relate to each person's spiritual life. We believe that Spirit speaks through a variety of sources (not just the minister) and participants are touched by the humanity and spirituality they experience, whether they share or just listen (and most just listen). Our dialogue goes for about 45 minutes and we end around 11:15 am. After The Spiritual Forum is over, there is time to continue the conversation over coffee and refreshments if you chose. If you attend in person, please know that you are free to believe whatever you already believe. The tenets that Rev. Carol embraces during the dialogue can be found here: https://thespiritualforum.org/tenets/ FAQs can be found here: https://thespiritualforum.org/faq/. We typically have between 20 and 30 people in attendance and are growing. Our doors and hearts are wide open to people of all generations, affiliations and orientations. Everyone is welcome! You can learn more on our website thespiritualforum.org, or listen to The Spiritual Forum podcast on iTunes, Stitcher, Soundcloud or your favorite podcast app. Here is a link to our podcast page: https://thespiritualforum.org/podcast/ To find us, please insert "The Patty Turner Center Deerfield, IL" into your google maps search.
