Details:
Last time we didn't get as far as we wanted.. getting stuck on wifi settings and didn't get to sensors.. let's meet again for a re-run.

Please bring along hardware you might have from the list bellow, or let us know if we should get anything for you.

Do you want to learn more about micro controllers, data science and the Python ecosystem but lack a starting point?
How about producing your own real world data sets by collecting data about the micro climate of your apartment with sensors and a Raspberry Pi?
In the course of this series of meetups we want to
- hook up one or multiple sensors with Raspberry Pi
- build an app able to read sensor data
- build an app able to store and query time series data produced by the app on the Raspberry Pi and deploy it

We will have several meetups on this, the first one will be the *hardware* meet up and is prepared by Gesa and Tereza.

• Gesa is a developer at ThoughtWorks. She likes watching Taiwanese talk shows on the internet and enjoys putting things on top of other things.
• Tereaza is a data scientist at mytaxi. She likes learning new things.. currently learning Japanese and watching lots of anime.

For this meet up we will focus on the hardware part, so you will need:
- Raspberry PI 3 or higher
- Charger.. mini-usb phone charger should work
- Micro SD card: at least 8G
- Breadboard
- Sensors, can be the DHT11, or equivalent
- one LED.. just for fun
- connecting wires
- micro-usb to usb adapter

We might have some of the materials, some have been sponsored and some we prepared. So if you come and already have your own Raspberry Pi let us know. If you come and don't have anything, let us know again.

• Level:
- beginner

• Pre-requisites:
- your laptop and sudo/admin rights
- git
- charger with mini-usb
