Despite having been discredited scientifically, racism is in vogue worldwide and shapes the coexistence of many societies. Particularly in everyday life and working environments, racism and critical whiteness represent a major emotional and elusive challenge between people of different nations and backgrounds. The field of Critical Whiteness deals with the social construction of Whiteness and looks at origins of the separation between White and Black. This interactive workshop does not only illuminate the obvious racism, but should also inspire people to question their everyday models, thought patterns and privileges in dealing with each other.
The workshop will be facilitated by Hamed Abbaspur.
