Join us for Real Estate, a comedy by Canadian playwright Allana Harkin (http://www.allanaharkin.com/). The play will be presented by the Burl-Oak Theatre Group (http://www.botg.ca/), a community theatre in Oakville. Before the show, we'll have an optional lunch.
Joel Harper is a mystery writer dealing with writer’s block, a marriage on the rocks, a tax collector and a mortgage foreclosure. Forced to sell the family home quickly, he enlists the help of a local “realtor extraordinaire” who decides that both the house and its owner are “fixer- uppers” in need of tender loving care. Emma is perky, determined and single! To add to the fun, Joel’s ex-wife makes an unexpected appearance with her new “man-purse toting” beau on her arm. The result is a heart- warming comedy that deals with more serious subjects such as love, loss, and aging parents while providing insight into the complexities of real estate.
