The Experience: Getting close up for great details! I will work with the 4 photographers focusing on the elements of composition, exposure, depth of field, ISO selection, etc. We will capture images at 2 great locations in Cumberland County, NJ., and then have a classroom session to process a few of your images. The subject matter will be found at a private small shipyard and an old fashioned private sawmill. We will concentrate on getting close for the detailed shots that can be outstanding images, however overlooked by many. Please see the photo gallery at the end of this announcement for our subject matter.
This is a hands-on workshop for instructional "The Art of Seeing". We will visit two undiscovered private locations within 20 minutes of Millville, NJ. We often look for the grand scene, but this instructional day will have you focusing in on details, and with great composition techniques, you will come away with some fantastic images. This will be a low key, relaxed learning experience with only 4 attendees to maximize your learning time. It is very important what you include in your composition, and as equally important, what you exclude. I will assist each photographer in locating, setting up, obtaining composition excellence, and exposure. After the two location shoots, we will gather at a classroom site in Millville, NJ where we will download some of your images for a processing instructional.
