Come join me for an interesting photography opportunity at Fleming's Junkyard. Starting at 2:30PM, we will do a late PM general shoot on the grounds.and then we will do several scenes by "painting with light". The general shoot will include rusty and crusty cars, trucks, vintage race cars, signs, gas pumps, scooters, etc. As dark approaches (sunset is at 4:39PM) , I will be setting up the above pictured scene, and others, for a night shoot, painted with light. I will provide all of the necessary light painting lights.

This meet-up is open to all levels of photographers. I will be available to assist folks in capturing your images, providing composition, camera settings, etc. I will be shooting so that I can provide exposure guidance, especially during the night session. For the night scenes, I will be providing camera settings to all, based upon the feedback in my camera setup. Please know how to set your camera on manual, and adjustments for ISO, f-stop, and shutter speed. Once it is getting dark, photographers, as a group will shoot the "light painted" scene. Once complete, we will move to the next scene. The one pictured in the heading will be our first scene of several. How many we accomplish depends on the flow of the group and evening.
These scene shoots will be interactive, with all suggestions welcomed.

You will need a DSLR, sturdy tripod, and a shutter release. You will need a small handheld flashlight to adjust camera settings. Good sturdy shoes are required. Knowing how to set your camera on total manual is needed.

PLEASE NOTE:
This location was a site for the popular "American Pickers", and as such, has become a very popular spot. However, due to vandalism and theft, it has been closed down to photographers and the general public. I am one of the gang at Fleming's and have exclusive access to conduct this workshop. We will not get locked in...I have a key to get out.

Obligatory comment: there have been some Kleptomaniacs visit this site, and it has been noticed. As a reminder, all artifacts need to remain at the site, no souvenirs.
