Intro to Tibetan Buddhism - Study Group
What is enlightenment? How does meditation work? What is karma and how does it work? In this study group we'll explore these questions and the basics behind Buddhist meditation and practice. In Buddhism, we are not born into sin, but rather have at our core fundamental purity and goodness. Buddhism teaches us how to uncover our basic purity and relate to it in our daily life, learning to develop harmony and peace. Cairy Britton, local leader of White Yak Buddhist Center, will provide commentary and explanation on a traditional practice manual (Jewel Ornament of Liberation by Gampopa). Donations accepted to assist with operating expenses.

What we're about

White Yak Buddhist Center is a meditation and Buddhist study group in the Drikung Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism under the spiritual guidance of retreat master Drupon Trinley Nyingpo Rinpoche. Currently, we are meeting every other week practicing meditation and will be hosting special events with visiting meditation masters and Buddhist teachers. Beginners and all levels of meditators, spiritual seekers, and (of course) Buddhists are welcome at any events. Meditation instructions will be provided.
