Come join us for a great evening of talks from the community and companies that create, test and deploy InfluxDB in production.

The evening will have something interesting for both beginners and advanced users of InfluxDB.

For those coming straight from work, pizza and drinks will be provided. Video recordings of the talks will posted shortly after the event for those who cannot join us and we'll take a stab at broadcasting live through Periscope.

If you have an InfluxDB related talk you'd like to share at a future Meetup, please submit it to the organizers for consideration!

Announcements - 10 mins

Administrative stuff plus job-related and community announcements.

Working with Continuous Queries and Retention Policies - 30 mins

Technical Level: Intermediate/Advanced

Interested in downsampling data on the fly and cycling out high resolution data to save on storage? In this session, InfluxData trainer Micheal deSa will give an overview of how continuous queries work, use cases for when to use them and how to effectively manage your data using retention policies.

Smart Aquaponics: InfluxDB Powered Dinner - 20 mins

Technical Level: Beginner/Intermediate

Aquaponics uses bacteria to breakdown fish waste into plant food in a water recirculating system without soil. Smart aquaponics involves using microcomputers and sensors to transform physical aquaponic systems into digital information for data acquisition, supervisory control and machine learning. Aquaponics, like nature, is time driven ... it makes so much sense to use a time series DB for this kind of interactions. This demo from Kijani Grows ( will give you insight into how InfluxDB pretty much helps put dinner onto our plates!

Go Bootcamp - 60 mins

Technical Level: Beginner/Intermediate

In this talk, InfluxDB Core engineer and Golang community member Cory LaNou will in the course on 60 mins teach you everything you need to know about installing Go, building command line programs and web servers plus understanding basic concurrency. You are guaranteed to be a certified "60 Minute Go Expert" at the conclusion of the talk or your money back!
