Join us for a relaxing walk in Salem, MA holding hands with our partners followed by lunch at Jodi Bee Bakes (if you're feeling hungry 🥐🧁🥪). Bring someone to hold hands with or come by yourself!
Meet at noon in front of the Peabody Essex Museum. Parking is available next door at Museum Place garage (1 Church Street) and only costs $1.25 per hour. If you're taking the train, you can use the Newburyport/Rockport commuter line and get off at Salem (discounted rate on the weekend!).
After meeting up, we'll walk for a half hour through the different parts of historic downtown Salem. Then we'll walk up to Jodi Bee Bakes (vegetarian/vegan friendly) near the museum for delicious baked goods, snacks, sandwiches and good conversation. Lunch is optional but we'd love to have you!
Unless conditions are dangerous, we'll walk rain or shine so please bring comfortable shoes/boots and umbrellas if necessary!
Our goal by holding hands in public is to create safety in numbers for ourselves and every LGBTQ+ couple who sees us. Join us and we'll be on our way to normalizing PDA for LGBTQ+ couples in Boston and beyond. LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning+), allies, couples, singles, all ages - all are welcome (per Meetup rules, anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult). 👭👬😍
