Joining a workshop with Timescapse means you'll have a once in a lifetime experience where you'll be inspired, have fun, and make long lasting friendship! Join me for an incredible experience where you'll learn how to use your DSLR or Mirrorless camera to capture brilliant night-sky images and time lapses. If you are new to time lapse, this is a great time to start learning! Time lapses is just many single images put together and to be able to show movement brings us back to an amazing time we cannot see with our own eyes! You'll learn new & advanced camera and post processing techniques that will get you shooting breathtaking images the very first day, all the while being inspired by the locations, vistas, other participants. A Hands-On Workshop Experience - This workshop will be designed for learning, and combine daily instruction with on-location shoots. Throughout the day you'll learn to process your time lapses and night-sky photographs using Lightroom, LRTimelapse, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and you'll learn how to stack images for crisp clean images, create star trails and more, while in the afternoon we'll head out to capture the setting sun, and the night sky, while helping you with composition, settings, focus, intervals, ramping, and motion control if you have the gear. Physical Difficulty: Easy to moderate terrain, some locations will require 1-3 miles hike. WARNING: You'll be exhausted but you'll never run out of energy. We'll be shooting most of the night and only sleeping for several hours during the day. Lodging: 4 bedrooms 3 bath house that sleeps 16 people. Most of you who have been out with Timescapse know this is my prefer method of lodging. Hotel rooms are very expensive in Moab and for 8 nights, you'll be paying over $2500 for your stay. Sharing space has many benefits, one is that we can always talk about photography, prepare meals together and also enjoy each other company. There is enough space for anyone to have a little down time and for those who likes to keep the party going. Transportation: Airfare and rental car is not included in the cost. Fly into Salt Lake City from DC, from there it's a 4.5 hour drive to Moab. If we coordinate our flight time, I can reserve the necessary vehicle for us to travel together in maybe 1 or 2 vehicles.
