• Castle pub quiz £1 PP Entertaining with Tasting round.
The newly refurbished Castle hosts a weekly pub quiz, every Wednesday. This was a very entertaining quiz, 5 rounds, which include a 'sudden death round' which is 10 questions, you have to get right (don't put guesses down) you will get a point for each answer, plus 5 bonus points if you get all 10 correct. Worth doing! There is a tasting round, which consisted of two drinks, and three different food items, to say what they were. With the drinks, say the grape and usage a shot ore cocktail, what is it, and what flavours can you identify? There is a big picture round, which included dingbats, famous people, what is it - Definitely worth it, as you can win a round of shots for all at the table, if you bring things when asked, like a sock, or a teaspoon. There is a bonus round, which are the entrance fees collected which will rolls over, if it's not been won. This weeks question are normally reliant on a pure guess, as they tend to be nothing you could know. I hope you'll be intrigued enough to come along.

  • ROCKAOKE - at the Tramshed!
It is simply a fantastic night out! It's the best Karaoke ever. With a real live band, that are supportive and great fun. The whole pub gets involved in this night. It's a really friendly and happy night out. Everyone chats - it's a bit like being at a private party. You get to hear some knock out performances and the more the singer puts on a performance the better it is for the band and the crowd. Truly, this is one of those nights, when you know you've had the best time since, you don't know when. I know we all enjoy singing. If you don't fancy getting up on stage and singing, you can still get involved by cheering on the brave souls that do. You can even pre-book a slot to sing. Check out www.rockaoke.co.uk This is your chance to get up and sing with a live band for 3 minutes. It's as simple as this: - Come down and grab a drink. - Grab a form and pick a song you might like to sing. - Hand the form back in. - Chat to fellow socialisers and get another drink. - Cross your fingers and toes and hope that you're name gets read out so that you can make your way onto the stage and live the Rock'N'Roll dream for 3 minutes. SIMPLES! For more info, to look at a song list or to pre-register check out their website: www.rockaoke.co.uk (http://www.rockaoke.co.uk/) some you tube videos http://www.rockaoke.co.uk/rockaoke_video.php This is actually from the Tramshed http://www.rockaoke.co.uk/rockaoke_video.php 8PM-1AM/FREE
