Welcome Toronto Cassandra Users,

In this talk Shahryar Sedghi, Founder at Parseix (http://www.parseix.com), will compare various Java APIs of Apache Cassandra including Thrift (http://wiki.apache.org/cassandra/ThriftInterface), Hector (https://github.com/hector-client/hector), JDBC (http://code.google.com/a/apache-extras.org/p/cassandra-jdbc/) and the new Datastax Java Driver (https://github.com/datastax/java-driver). He will also be covering the basics of using the new Java driver, as well as discussing some advanced features like policies and asynchronous calls.

Food/beverage will be served this evening.

I hope you're able to make it!

About Shahryar

I am a veteran IBMer with 36 years of experience in this industry. Most my career was spent in integration of heterogeneous systems using IBM Middleware technology. Recently I have started parseix (www.parseix.com (http://www.parseix.com/)) that offers a massively scaleable Monitoring as a Service (MaaS) for IBM Websphere MQ and IBM Integration Bus, built with Cassandra and other bleeding edge technologies.
