    Greetings Embereños! For the 7th year in a row, Demo DecEmber is back! The last EmberTO of 2019 is happening next Thursday December 5th starting at 6:30pm. For this special meetup we will be at Pharmacy Bar in Parkdale. Come and show anything Ember related you have to share. It can be what you do at work, a side project, a library, or even an interesting find. We are aiming for 5 minute demos (but you can have more time if you've got something super interesting to share). So far we have: * Andrew Louis with his yearly Memex update * Justin Giancola on improvisation * the Closing Folder Crew * Eric Froese from Clockk But we need more!     Hello everyone! After a summer pause, EmberTO is back! We've got a NEW location, a NEW date and a LOT of Ember news. The next edition of EmberTO is happening on Wednesday (yes Wednesday) November 6th. Doors open at 6:30pm with talks starting at 7pm. This month we will be meeting at the Precision Nutrition headquarters "Roof Garden" at Bloor and Dovecourt (see directions below). Our main talk will be Mattia Gheda (@ghedamat) presenting "The current state of Ember Octane" - What's new and how you can get to use it as soon as today! Shortly after, we'll have a surprise talk - meaning that if you want to present please reach out :D The Octane edition aims to be a new and fresh version of Ember. If you have friends and colleagues that would like to know more about our favorite JS framework, please bring them! There will be foods and refreshments courtesy of our sponsor Precision Nutrition. Date details: This meetup does NOT follow our usual schedule and it will be on a Wednesday - check your calendars! Location Details: - Roof Garden is located at 1 Roof Garden Lane. It IS in a laneway, which can often lead to guests wandering about aimlessly. But fear not! We're attaching a picture of the building (entrance) for your convenience. How to get there using public transit: - Transit is always the easiest way to go. Take the Bloor (Green) Subway line to Ossington Station. You can exit the station via the Delaware exit and shave 5 minutes off your walk! From Ossington station, it's a 3 minute walk to Roof Garden.

    Hello everyone! The next edition of EmberTO is happening on Thursday May 2nd, doors open at 6:30pm with talks starting at 7pm. This month we'll once again be enjoying the refreshments of Pharmacy Bar in Parkdale! First on stage we'll have Jamie Gilgen (https://github.com/jamiebikies) presenting on Content Security Policies! Abstract: Content Security Policies are your last line of defense when it comes to front-end security. Using the Ember CSP addon it is convenient to build your application with CSP in mind. It can be a little bit tricky to add CSP once an application is mature, but I will go through some strategies on how to deal with this trickiness and why you probably should.     Hello everyone! The first EmberTO of 2019 is happening on Thursday February 7th, starting at 6:30pm. Once again we will be enjoying the refreshments of Pharmacy Bar in Parkdale! First on the soapbox we will have Christopher Milne (https://twitter.com/chris_j_milne) presenting on a much requested topic! His talk "Building Ambitious Web Applications in Ember with GraphQL" will show how to leverage the power of Apollo and GraphQL in Ember for a dramatically simpler developer experience - using a Flight Management System he is building on the side as an example. Shortly after we'll have Kenneth Buck (Fiix Software) & Rivkie Ribiat (CIBC) with a talk about PerformanceKit. They'll give us a demo of the CIBC ember-addon that provides performance instrumentation and reporting for Ember apps. They will also share some performance troubleshooting and strategies tips.
