Speaker Series: Join Stephanie Piper from York Regional Police & GoGeomatics for our January social! This month’s social is taking place Monday, January 21st (7:00PM) at Betty's On King (Upstairs!).

This month, we welcome Stephanie Piper from York Regional Police as our special guest! Stephanie will be discussing how she utilizes Web GIS to enable and empower front line officers, analysts, and senior officers to help make more informed decisions. She will also discuss various historical and live components that are currently being utilized by over 1,000 officers, and have assisted in providing vital clues that led to arrests that may not have been possible prior to the deployment of this technology!

Speaker: Stephanie Piper works as a GIS Specialist with the York Regional Police, where she has worked for the past 3 years. Prior to this she was running her own consulting company. Stephanie attended the University of Waterloo where she obtained a Bachelor of Environment in Geography and Environmental Management with a specialization in Geomatics. Since then she has become an expert in Web GIS and Latitude Geographics Geocortex software, as well as utilizing Esri software to build custom components to suit a variety of needs.

These monthly socials are a chance to network with others in the geomatics field to chat all things GIS, remote sensing, surveying, and more in a casual atmosphere. They're always fun, and always free. See you there!

Please RSVP to let us know you're attending.
