The purpose of this group is to have a place to free yourself. Let go of the fear of dancing in public. Learn to let the music dance you rather than worrying how to dance it. This group is for those who have wanted to dance but have been too scared, self conscious, or doubtful they have the skill. I would like to open this group to women between the ages of 35-65.
Dance can bring joy and comfort into our lives. Dancing is also a great source of fitness, energy, relaxation, happiness and a spirit and soul healer. Break toxic cycles by creating a new habit in your life and bring positivity into your world by developing a new social network.
This group environment is meant to be fun, friendly, non judgemental and does not require any previous dance experience.
At my events we will have a social component where people will be invited to introduce themselves and share a little bit of how they found the group or why they decided to join the group and what their feelings around dance currently are. By the end of each event you will feel differently and be able to approach the thought of dancing in public from a different perspective.
Depending on how often the same people attend event and how people feel they progress, the events may start to take on a different direction. I will explain later.
