TorontoBabel: Toronto's International Language Exchange Meetup

We try to provide a fun, friendly, relaxed group where you can practice speaking a new language and meet people from all over the world!

Our gathering takes place in a bar environment, so there is usually music playing and we usually have about 100 people so it will be busy and bustling. With so many people speaking it can sometimes be a bit loud, but this is your chance to practice your language skills in a real-world context with real people!

The idea of the group is that you give help to the group (helping those who are learning your native language) and you get help from the group (you are helped by others who speak the language you want to practice). This way everyone benefits!

We typically have native speakers of French, Spanish, English, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, German, Polish, Italian, Dutch, Turkish, Mandarin, Russian, Armenian, Arabic and many other languages.

When you arrive, just introduce yourself to Anna and Eduardo and they will introduce you to others who speak the language you want to practice to get you started. It's fun and FREE!

We get started at 7:00 pm and the group is usually there until at least 10:30 pm, but you can arrive and leave at whatever time you like.

If you have any comments, questions, problems, concerns or ideas, just talk to Anna or Eduardo about it. We will do our best to make sure you have a positive experience!

Remember, this group is a hobby for us; we run it just for fun, we love it and we hope you will love it too!

I missed the Salsa Boat Cruise with the Llamas. I hope TorontoBabel will come up with another event, joining forces with the Llamas and at the same time learn languages. :)
Yet this event sounds interesting and intriguing. Looking forward to this day.

Hello, Im going to try to come to the event this Wednesday. However, I thought I might just let you know (expatriates or otherwise) that I made a group called Expatriates in Toronto where you can post questions about Toronto or suggesting a movie to someone and see or post different events around the city, maybe even do a language exchange. I found it helpful when I was abroad. Anyways the group is
