This ride worked out really really well last year, so let's try it again. On the upcoming holiday Monday let's ride down to Oakville for lunch.
We'll meet up at Coronation Park at 10:30 AM, and head west on the Waterfront Trail down to Oakville, have some lunch at Whole Foods, and ride back. It's just that simple!
The ride will be on bike trails and some streets, and will be suitable for all types of bikes. I'd like to do a pace in the 18 - 22 km/hr range.
Whole Foods has picnic tables and bike parking available, you can get various packaged salads and lunches and some pretty good coffee.
It'll be about 42 km down to Oakville. Once there, if anyone wishes they can take the GO train back to Toronto (costs about $8). The GO train will be on holiday schedule (once an hour) and a bike can be taken on it at any time on a weekend or holiday. There will be other stations to drop out at along the way as well.
As usual, you can reach me via text at[masked].
Hope to see you there!
