Tai Chi class
This is a beginning to intermediate class that will focus on the fundamentals of T'ai Chi practice: postural alignment, correct movement patterns, proper breathing and relaxation. Over time, you will learn the form which you can practice on your own, anytime you want. We will go over the T'ai Chi basic exercises at 9:00 and then begin working on either the 8-movement or the 64-movement Yang style form, depending on experience. We will try to be outside whenever possible. In case of rain, snow or cold, we will move inside. The decision will be a consensus of the group. When indoors, classes are held in the same building as Whole Health Acupuncture, but using a different entrance at the back of the building. From the parking lot, walk on the right side of the building to the side facing Arlington Heights road. There will be a sign for Dena's School of Dance above the door. What we're about

This will be an introduction to Tai Ji or T'ai Chi.
A 2000 year old art. It is a moving meditation & can be practiced well into ones 80 's & beyond.
It is great for: improving health, stamina, balance, coordination, peace of mind & self- defense. It's fun too!

Basic principles , movements, philosophy & applications will be covered.

The class is open to all levels & styles of players. It is designed for the beginning to intermediate player.
