The 2014 Tour de Cure Group Ride series continues. This is the Double Bridge (I-205/I-5) loop for 20 miles. There is an alternate 11 mile short route - an out and back on MacArthur/McGillivray. Meet at the parking lot across the street from the River Maiden (look for the Tour de Cure banner).

*pre-ride special (9:15am-9:45am) - Back by popular demand! James Emond (Missing Link) will be giving an introduction to bike gears and shifting techniques before the ride. Lesson begins at 9:15am. He will also ride out with the short route for anyone who wants a little more coaching.

*2014 NEW Riders - to help with introductions, please take a "New rider" name tag when you turn in your waiver. It will help "the veterans" introduce themselves and meet and greet, prior to the ride.

*Post-Ride Lunch. Some riders and volunteers plan on having lunch at the Rock Wood Fired Pizza & Spirits (,-122.6457474,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x5495a5fe2b022af3:0x8acb09855d2a2287) (2420 Columbia House Blvd, Vancouver). Especially for new riders, we'd love to tell you about Tour de Cure - the ride, the fundraising effort, volunteering, and how we got involved. Bring your own cash, and save some space for the support volunteers at the table (we'll be late, for obvious reasons! Probably close to 1pm)

This is a full-support "ride your own pace" event, with lead riders for both distances, with sweeper cyclists bringing up the caboose. Light breakfast breads and fruit will be available at the sign-in table. This is a volunteer-supported activity, so a donation bucket is on the table to help us defray the costs (any donations happily accepted with thanks!)

A resupply stop will be available for the long route only. Support vehicles will be available by cell phone, due to many paths we will be traveling upon on the Portland side.

Helmet, water bottles, and a signed waiver form for every rider is required (see links below). Only printed name, signed name, and date of ride is required on the form.

Cyclists do not have to be registered for Tour de Cure, but we will be happy to tell you why you should join us at the July event and fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association. Please RSVP so we can have enough breakfast food.
