We are a hiking tribal community that goes hiking, trekking, walking, rock climbing, wall climbing, backpacking, rollerblading, cycling, trail biking, exploring the wilderness, camping, take road trips, and get together for social functions. We'll try just about anything active or outdoorsy.
Our objective is to bring together people from all aspects of life, uniting seasoned fitness enthusiasts with budding nature-lovers for exploration of the outdoors. Together we enjoy the great nature, and seek fun and friendship.
We take more hikes to more places than almost any other group around. We feature hikes for all ages and skill levels. We have events at a wide variety of times, places, and days. We foster a close bonding of familiar hikers and climbers. We have novice hikers on every event but always with tenured regulars creates a welcoming atmosphere for new hikers that is is not intimidating. No matter what shape you are in, Join our hiking and climbing family if you want to become very active hiking. Our leaders are accepting and sincere in interactions with hiking members.
Know your limits
Our Organisers are not tour guides. Neither are we rangers. Going out with us is the same as going out with a few friends. Expect the same risks, take the same precautions. As Organisers, we will do our best to give accurate descriptions of the hikes we post. If you are a beginner in hiking, the elevation over the length of the hike and distance may not mean much to you. Likewise, difficulty ratings are subjective, and a hike that is 'Easy' to one person may be 'Moderate' to another. Err on the side of caution. You're much better off going on a hike that's too easy for you than a hike that's too hard or too dangerous for you. As you go on more hikes with us, you'll become more familiar with our ratings and our descriptions, and you'll learn more about your own limits. Ultimately, it's up to you to keep yourself safe out there. Hike within your abilities.
You don't need to pay membership dues to be part of this group.
